The main business of this section is to offer educational and recreational activity, as well as to implement the progressive grade system.
REHABILITATION AND EDUCATION
We put emphasis on inmates' rehabilitation through counseling both in groups and individually. Many rehabilitation services are regularly offered to inmates by correctional officers and experts such as psychologists, lawyers, scholars and religious workers who are invited to teach inmates to enhance their self-awareness and impart correct knowledge. Religious groups are invited to deliver sermons to inmates, offering them spiritual counseling to help with negative feelings and behaviors.

PROGRESSIVE GRADE SYSTEM
The progressive treatment and parole of inmates is carefully implemented. The progressive grade system applies to inmates carrying a sentence of more than 6 months. This system consists of four levels, each with a certain amount of points to be attained. When enough points are attained, a promotion is given. Whether proposal of parole is given or withdrawn is based on the progressive grade of the inmate.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
1) Calligraphy classes, study groups, writing classes, and book exhibitions are sponsored to nurture inmates' reading interest. Chess games, ballgames, track and field, singing and dancing are also conducted. In addition, volunteer groups are invited to perform in the prison. All these activities are intended for inmates’ physical and mental health.
2) Family Day Activity: On specific festivals like Lunar New Year’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Moon Festival, some activities are held for inmates to have interactions with their families by phone or in person. Their families are also invited to visit the facilities in the prison. The main goal of these services is to enhance the relationship between inmates and their families.
