At the year’s end, the Sacred Heart Educational Institute of Chiayi visited Chiayi Prison on December 24, 2025, to conduct a Christmas caroling and goodwill event. A caring delegation composed of teachers and students from the institute conveyed heartfelt gratitude and concern to Chiayi Prison staff who have long remained steadfast in their duties. Through warm melodies and sincere blessings, the event brought a touch of festive warmth to the otherwise rigorous and busy correctional environment.

During the event, the delegation performed Christmas-themed songs with light and comforting melodies, accompanied by brief remarks expressing appreciation for the prison staff’s dedication and quiet commitment to safeguarding public safety and maintaining social order. Amid their demanding duties, staff members were able to momentarily relax, experience the festive spirit, and enjoy an atmosphere filled with warmth and goodwill.

To express gratitude for the institute’s kindness and care, Chiayi Prison presented winter jackets as a token of appreciation, symbolizing mutual support and solidarity during the cold season. The Sacred Heart Educational Institute expressed sincere thanks for the thoughtful gesture and highly commended the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by correctional officers in the field of public service. Furthermore, to extend the scope of care, Chiayi Prison also donated winter jackets to residents of the Yi-Hsin Educational Institute of Chiayi County, ensuring that warmth and compassion continue to circulate and grow.

Chiayi Prison noted that, in addition to fulfilling its statutory correctional and custodial responsibilities, it places great importance on staff well-being and workplace support. Looking ahead, while ensuring security and smooth operations, the prison will continue to maintain positive interactions with charitable and caring organizations, appropriately introducing human-centered and positive activities to foster a stable and supportive work environment. This Christmas caroling event concluded successfully amid warmth and blessings, leaving prison staff with meaningful year-end memories and demonstrating the power of social compassion, allowing care and goodwill to continue flowing within the prison walls.
