To enhance inmates' logical thinking skills, cultivate patience, and improve concentration, Chiayi Prison, under the Agency of Corrections, Ministry of Justice (hereinafter referred to as "Chiayi Prison"), organized a "Sudoku Competition" as part of this month's recreational and cultural activities. Through this intellectual competition, inmates challenge their minds, strengthen their resilience, patience, and problem-solving abilities. In addition to dynamic recreational activities, this event provides an opportunity for inmates who are less inclined toward physical activities to achieve outstanding results in a different form of competition.

This competition features two categories: the "General Group" and the "Senior Group," allowing inmates of different age groups to challenge themselves, enhance their thinking skills, and find motivation for positive learning during their incarceration. Many elderly inmates show little interest in physical activities and have few opportunities to compete for rewards in dynamic competitions. However, some elderly participants have rediscovered the joy of problem-solving and intellectual challenges through Sudoku, boosting their confidence and demonstrating perseverance throughout the competition.
